CAMP PHOSPHATE CO. PURCHASED THE SHELTON PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE TYE RIVER, BUT OTHER THAN EXPOSING THE DIKE, CONDUCTED NO FURTHER WORK. IN 1907, THE PROPERTIES OF W.M. CAMP PHOSPHATE CO. WERE TRANSFERRED TO THE NELSON MINING AND MANUFACTURING CO. TO DATE NO COMMERCIAL MINING HAS BEEN CONDUCTED ON THE PROPERTIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MINING OF A SMALL RUTILE NELSONITE DIKE (LOCATED ON THE GILES TRACT ABOUT 180 M EAST OF THE JUNCTION OF STATE HWY. 151 AND STATE ROAD 655) BY THE AMERICAN RUTILE CO.
