  • The placer group consists of 3 leased blocks (Timba Bah, Hester, and Hansen) and 14 placer claims. Includes the 8 mi-long Timba Bah lease, operated from 1933-1937. Timber Bar is said to have produced $800,000 in gold (1933-1937) (DMEA Docket 727, p. 27 of 34)

Deposit LODES CONTAINING AU AND FE ARE PRESENT IN DISTRICT. RICHEST GRAVEL IS 1 MI BELOW ATLANTIC CITY NEAR A LARGE FAULT THAT CROSSES ROCK CREEK. NO GOLD IS FOUND IN GRAVEL THAT OVERLIES SCHIST, ONLY THAT THAT OVERLIES AMPHIBOLITE. GOLD IS FOUND WITHIN 1-3 FT OF BEDROCK
