General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE OCCURRENCE OF LARGE GOLD DEPOSITS IN CANADA SUGGESTS THAT THE GREENSTONE-GRANITE TERRANES OF MINNESOTA ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE OCCURRENCE OF IMPORTANT GOLD DEPOSITS.
Deposit GROUT (1937) DID NOT GIVE A MORE SPECIFIC NAME FOR THIS PROSPECT. HE CALLED IT "BUSHY HEAD" (TWO WORDS) ISLET. MAP I-1927 CALLS IT "BUSHYHEAD" (ONE WORD) ISLAND.
Deposit GROUT (1937) DETERMINED THAT THESE DEPOSITS WERE OF PROBABLE HYPOTHERMAL ORIGIN. THE PROPSECT CONSISTS OF A QUARTZ VEIN WITH LATER ANKERITE AND MUSCOVITE CROSSES A MINERALIZED AND CONTORTED SCHIST.
