  • AN OPEN-PIT DEVELOPED BY SELECTIVE MINING OF THE TACTITE BODY ALONG THE LIMESTONE-QTZ. MONZONITE CONTACT. TWO SHORT ADITS, APPROX. 20 FT. AND 10 FT. LONG, WERE DRIVEN IN THE WEST SIDE OF THE PIT.

  • THE FIRST DEVELOPMENT CONSISTED OF SINKING ON 18 FT. SHAFT AND OPEN-CUTTING THE ORE ALONG STRIKE, FROM THE SURFACE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SHAFT. CROSSCUTS WERE DRIVEN, THE SHAFT WAS CONTINUALLY DEEPENED, AND THE ORE STOPED ALONG AND ACROSS THE STRIKE OF THE TACTITE ZONE.
