Deposit FLUORSPAR OCCURS IN LENSES AND IRREGULAR POCKETS IN BRECCIATED QUARTZITIC SANDSTONE. THE ORE MATERIAL IS VERY SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE RED CLOUD DEPOSIT. IT IS IN AN AGGREGATE OF FRAGMENTS OF DENSE FINE-GRAINED PURPLE FLUORSPAR AND ROCK IN A SOFT FE-STAINED MATRIX OF LOOSELY CEMENTED TINY FLUORITE CRYSTALS, GRANULATED BARITE, AND CLAY. OTHER MINERALS INCLUDE CALCITE, QUARTZ, AND OCCASIONALLY APPRECIABLE AMOUNTS OF BASTNASITE.
