SHEETS 2 TO 3 FEET THICK, GENERALLY SEPARATED BY THIN APLITE DIKES WHICH DIP 25 DEG. WEST. SOME PEGMATITE DIKES 16 INCHES THICK. DARK BLUISH GRAY IN COLOR WITH COARSE PORPHYRITIC GNEISSOSE TEXTURE. USED FOR BUILDINGS.
