Deposit	PLAYA-TYPE DEPOSIT. ULEXITE OCCURS AS NODULES 10-15 CM IN DIAMETER AND AS SMALLER BODIES IN LAYERS 4-5 CM THICK. B IS CONCENTRATED ADJACENT TO A SMALL ISLAND OF PALEOZOIC ROCK IN THE NORTHWEST OF THE SALAR. AN EXPLORATION HOLE FOUND A BED OF HARD ULEXITE BENEATH 60 CM OF RED SAND. UNDER THE ULEXITE WAS 50 CM OF GREEN PLASTIC CLAYS, WHICH IN TURN WERE UNDERLAIN BY A BED OF FETID ORGANIC CLAYS WITH DISSEMINATED ULEXITE. TO THE SOUTH OF THIS OCCURRENCE, NODULAR ULEXITE IS RHYTHMICALLY BEDDED WITH PINKISH SAND IN A LAYER 50 CM THICK WHICH IS UNDERLAIN BY BLACK SAND.
Deposit	THIS CLAIM IS PART OF THE YELLOWJACKET GROUP WHICH CONSISTS OF OVER 100 CLAIMS. DISTRICT HAS BEEN RECURRENTLY ACTIVE SINCE THE 1880S
