Comments on the workings information

  • TWO SHAFTS-POZZO GARIBALDI, 400M DEEP, AND POZZO S. CALLISTO 150M DEEP. MINING BY UNDERGROUND CUT AND FILL METHODS, WITH CEMENT FILL.

Comments on other economic factors

  • IN 1976, THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT PERMANENTLY CLOSED ALL MERCURY MINES IN THE COUNTRY. ITALY WILL PRODUCE ITS DOMESTIC NEEDS FROM BYPRODUCT MERCURY AT LEAD-ZINC DEPOSITS IN SARDINIA. DUE TO THE ECONOMICS OF THE SITUATION, IT APPEARS VERY UNLIKELY THAT THE ITALIAN GOVT WILL EVER REOPEN THE ABBADIA S. SALVATORE MINE.
