| Deposit | WILSON (1980, P. 13) SAID THAT DR. S.J. HARDIN HAD 13 MINES. BAIN (1904, P. 85-86) NAMED 6 MINES. WOODRUFF (1904, P. 26) MENTIONED THAT ONE PROSPECT 26 FT DEEP HAD 20 LBS OF COPPER (PER TON OF ORE?) AT 10 FT DEEP, NEAR THE LOST LEAD PROSPECT. THE PROSPECTS WERE IDLE IN 1904, BUT DR. HARDIN INTENDED TO DEEPEN THE COPPER PROSPECT TO 200 FT. VEEDER (1936, SHEET 846) LOCATED THE LOST LEAD IN THE SE-NW-NW-SE-NW-4-3N-13W. MERRITT, HAM, AND ANDERSON (1941) LOCATED A SHAFT WITH MINERALS NEARBY, WHICH IS USED HEREIN AS PROBABLE COPPER PROSPECT. |
