| Deposit | THE WHITE, FINE-GRAINED, DOLOMITIC MARBLE ZONE WHICH LOCALLY CONTAINS TALC DEPOSITS IS AT THE APPROXIMATE STRATIGRAPHIC CENTER OF THE FORMATION. ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE SULFIDE MINERALS OCCUR RANDOMLY THROUGH THE MARBLE AND TALC BODIES, THEY ARE GENERALLY CONCENTRATED ALONG THE BASE OF THE DEPOSITS. "KIDNEYS" OR LENSES OF MARBLE OCCUR LOCALLY WITHIN THE MAIN TALC BODIES. JOINTS AND FAULTS HAVE LITTLE ECONOMIC OR GEOLOGIC SIGNIFICANCE (VAN HORN, 1948). |
