| Deposit | SCHEELITE-BEARING BODIES OF TACTITE OCCUR ALONG CONTACT BETWEEN MARBLE AND MONZONITE AND ALONG CONTACTS BETWEEN MARBLE AND OVERLYING HORNFELS, A FEW TENS OF FEET EAST OF MONZONITE INTRUSIVE CONTACT. SEDIMENTARY ROCKS FOLDED INTO ASYMMETRICAL SYNCLINE; W. LIMB INTRUDED BY MONZONITE. TWO ORE BODIES DEVELOPED ALONG MARBLE-HORNFELS CONTACT. SOUTH ORE BODY IN TROUGH OF SYNCLINE WAS MINED ALONG BOTH LIMBS, BUT SCHEELITE MINERALIZATION DECREASED AFTER 130 FT ON W. LIMB, AND 125 FT ON E. LIMB. NORTH ORE BODY, ON W. LIMB, WAS MINED FOR ABOUT 200 FT. TWO IRREGULARLY SHAPED PODS ALONG MARBLE-MONZONITE CONTACT CONTAINED ENOUGH SCHEELITE TO YIELD 150 TO 200 TONS OF ORE. URANIUM IS PRESENT IN VERY IRREGULAR, SPOTTY, OCCURRENCES IN THE TACTITE ZONE. |
