Deposit THE EXPLOITED MATERIAL RANGES FROM SILT TO BOULDER GRAVEL IN SIZE. THE GRAVELS ARE COMPOSED MOSTLY OF PALEOZOIC SANDSTONE, CHERT, AND LIMESTONE OF VARIOUS SHADES OF RED, YELLOW, AND WHITE; AND GRAY TERTIARY BASALT. THE COBBLE GRAVEL IS FAIRLY, BUT NOT COMPLETELY, FREE OF COATINGS OF CALCIUM CARBONATE OR CLAY. THE SILT AND SAND MATERIALS ARE PALE MODERATE BROWN (5YR4/3).
