| Deposit | THE EXPLOITED MATERIAL RANGES FROM SILT TO BOULDER GRAVEL IN SIZE. THE GRAVELS ARE COMPOSED MOSTLY OF PALEOZOIC SANDSTONE, CHERT, AND LIMESTONE OF VARIOUS SHADES OF RED, YELLOW, AND WHITE; AND GRAY TERTIARY BASALT. THE COBBLE GRAVEL IS FAIRLY, BUT NOT COMPLETELY, FREE OF COATINGS OF CALCIUM CARBONATE OR CLAY. THE SILT AND SAND MATERIALS ARE PALE MODERATE BROWN (5YR4/3). |
