| Deposit | EUREKA OPENED IN 1890 AND SHIPPED EVERY YEAR THROUGH 1925. ASTEROID OPENED IN 1911, ALSO SHIPPED EVERY YEAR THROUGH 1925. ASTEROID SHIPMENTS INCLUDE SMALL TONNAGES FROM WORKINGS EXTENDED INTO NORTH MIKADO PROPERTY. BEGINNING IN 1926, THE EUREKA AND ASTEROID MINES WERE CONSOLIDATED AND OPERATED BY CASTILE MINING CO., SHIPPED 1926-1950. WORKED BY SUB-LEVEL CAVING. THE MINE WAS EXHAUSTED IN 1950 AND CLOSED. THEREAFTER, THE EUREKA SHAFT WAS BEING UTILIZED FOR PRODUCTION FROM THE ADJACENT ANVIL-PALMS-KEWEENAW OPERATION. UNDERGROUND. |
