  • ORE OCCURS IN BRECCIA, FORMING A CARBONATE CEMENT IN PLACES; IN OTHER PLACES QUARTZ FORMS THE CEMENT. THE "CHERT" IS STRATIFIED AND UNBROKEN IN SOME PLACES. THE CHERT ALSO CONTAINS FRAGMENTS OF SACCAPROIDAL SANDSTONE. NUMEROUS CAVITIES WHICH FORMERLY HELD SPHALERITE WERE FOUND EMPTY OR FILLED WITH RED CLAY WITH 1.1% METALLIC ZINC.
