General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit GYPSUM IS WHITE, FLUFFY, SOFT, POROUS WITH VERY MINOR IRON OXIDE STAINS ON WEATHERED SURFACES, AND RELATIVELY PURE ON FRESH SURFACE. OVERLYING GYPSUM DEPOSITS ARE SLIGHTLY FOSSILIFEROUS, PROMINENT, LIMESTONE/DOLOMITE BEDS WITH CHERT/CALCITE NODULES. DRAINAGES IN VICINITY CONSIST OF BEAUTIFUL PUDDINGSTONE ROCK, (BUILDING STONE QUALITY?).
