| Deposit | GYPSUM IS WHITE, FLUFFY, SOFT, POROUS WITH VERY MINOR IRON OXIDE STAINS ON WEATHERED SURFACES, AND RELATIVELY PURE ON FRESH SURFACE. OVERLYING GYPSUM DEPOSITS ARE SLIGHTLY FOSSILIFEROUS, PROMINENT, LIMESTONE/DOLOMITE BEDS WITH CHERT/CALCITE NODULES. DRAINAGES IN VICINITY CONSIST OF BEAUTIFUL PUDDINGSTONE ROCK, (BUILDING STONE QUALITY?). |
