| Deposit | MINING OPERATIONS STARTED ON A SHOOT OF COPPER ORE WHICH CAME TO THE SURFACE IN A JASPER-QUARTZ LEDGE ON AN E-W FAULT. THE ORE WAS WORKED BY MEANS OF AN OPEN CUT AND 2 INCLINE SHAFTS SPACED AT 100 FT. INTERVALS ON THE STRIKE OF THE ORE SHOOT WHICH INCLINED TO THE NE FOR 300 FT ON A DIP OF 20 DEG. TO A DEPTH OF 150 FT. LATER A 500 FT TWO COMPARTMENT SHAFT WAS SUNK NEAR THE E. END OF THE ORE SHOOT AND A CONNECTION WAS MADE WITH THE ORE ON THE 200 LEVEL |
