  • ECON.COM: PRODUCTION HAS RECENTLY BEEN RESUMED AFTER REPAIR OF SERIOUS DAMAGE INCURRED DURING THE CHINESE INVASION SOME YEARS AGO. THIS IS THE ONLY OPERATING PHOSPHATE MINE IN VIETNAM. THE SOVIET UNION IS AIDING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DRESSING MILL AT THE LAO CAI MINE.
