| Deposit | DEPOSIT ALSO IN SECS 4, 6, 10. LOCATED ON NE LIMB OF THE LUKE-GRAVELY SYNCLINE, 6 MILES FROM N.P.RR LOADING PLATFORM AT AVON, AND 2 MILES NE OF LUKE MINE. SAMPLE LOT 1286 FROM USGS PROF PAPER 313-F IS LOCATED HERE. 1 INCH = 100 FEET MINE MAPS (PLAN AND SECTION) ARE ON MICRO- FILM IN SPOKANE. 2 MAPS MINE IS NOW CLOSED (1979). DIPS FLATTEN WITH DEPTH FROM VERTICAL AT THE SURFACE, TO 655 IN THE SE AND LESS THAN 45 SW IN THE NW. A MAJOR NW DIPPING FAULT, WITH AN AVERAGE DISPLACEMENT OF 7 FT, CUTS THE MINE. SE OF THE FAULT THE PHOSPHATE IS SOFT, NW OF THE FAULT IT IS HARD(RECRYSTALLIZED QUARTZ AT THE GRAIN BOUNDARIES OF THE PHOSPHATE OOLITES). RETORT MEMBER AT 3.7 FT THICK IS 35.1% P205 |
