INFORMATION FOR THE BEIHAI/GUANGXI DEPOSIT WAS ACQUIRED FROM VISITS TO NANNING BY DAVID ARPI OF KAISER ENGINEERS, DURING THE PERIOD OF MAY 8-11, 1982. THE MINING PROCESS, USED PRESENTLY, WILL PROBABLY NOT CHANGE, BECAUSE ANY MOVE TOWARD MECHANIZED MINING AND PRE- PROCESSING WOULD MEET SEVERE RESISTANCE FROM THE FARMERS WHO BENEFIT FROM THE STATUS-QUO. |
