  • HARD DIORITE FORMS THE BEDROCK OF UPPER PART OF CREEK WITH THE LOWER PART IS IN SCHIST WITH AURIFEROUS ALLUVIUM (B328). NO PRODUCTION RECORDS OBTAINED. DEPOSIT IN LEAST METAMORPHOSED YORK SLATE IS VERY THICK SEQUENCE OF CARBONACEOUS QTZ SILTITE WITH BEDS OF GRAYWACKE AND THIN DARK LIMESTONES (C. L. SAINSBURY, 1974, GEOLOGIC MAP OF BENDELEBEN).
