| Deposit | The property is underlain by hydrothermally altered Tertiary tuffaceous sediments and rhyolitic domes, which cover an area of about 1 mile by 1.5 km. Disseminated gold mineralization in the plus 0.020 opt Au range occurs in two larger zones and has been encountered in drilling to a depth of 640 feet. Golconda?s drilling found a strong bonanza vein type feeder zone in Tertiary tuff in the southeast part of the claims. The mineralized zone is barren at surface, and seems to be about 400 ft wide and can be traced for about 3500 ft along strike. It is characterized by strong potassic alteration. It has been intersected by two holes only. The one hole intersected 120 ft of 0.115 oz gold/ton. Several holes were terminated in the overlying clay blanket. |
