Environmental Factors South of Greys River opposite Higby Creek is an impressive slide and avalanche debris.
General Visted on Mon. Aug. 9, 2010 by Anna Wilson and Bill Heran (USGS). Comment's from Wilson's field notes: "No visible ore" (we were looking for mines, not quarries). "Probably a quarry for the pale gray to yellowish sandstone with veinlets." Noted that there was no carbonate because the samples did not fizz with HCl.
