  • 3 LEVELS OF TUNNELS ARE PRESENT. THE LOWER TUNNEL IS 265 FEET LONG; THE MIDDLE TUNNEL HAS CAVED IN; THE UPPER TUNNEL IS 50 FEET LONG. ALSO OPEN TRENCHES.

Deposit MINERALIZED FELSIC DIKE CONTAINS QUARTZ FILLED FRACTURES CARRIES NATIVE METALS AND SULFIDES. PARALLEL TO DIKE ARE QUARTZ VEINS 2 TO 12 INCHES IN WIDTH AT A DISTANCE OF 2 TO 10 FEET FROM THE DIKE. THE VEINS ARE MINERALIZED IN A MANNER SIMILAR TO THE DIKE. THE ORE BODIES ARE OFFSET BY SEVERAL DEXTRAL FAULTS. THE PRESENCE OF GOUGE ON ONE WALL OF THE DIKE INDICATES POST-MINERALIZATION MOVEMENT ALONG ANOTHER FAULT PARALLEL TO THE DIKE. DIKE CONTINUES FOR SEVERAL MILES (SEE FRESNO CREEK), BUT DEVELOPMENT ON THIS SITE IS RESTRICTED TO A FEW THOUSAND FEET OF ITS LENGHT.
