Relative position The McCall prospect is at an elevation of about 2,400 feet on a northeast-trending spur above the headwaters of the Sushana River. It is in the northwest corner of sec. 19, T. 14 S., R. 11 W., of the Fairbanks Meridian. The location is accurate to within 1 mile. This is location 1 of Clark and Cobb (1972).

  • Geologic Description = Little information about this prospect has been made public. Apparently, it consists of galena-bearing quartz-carbonate veins that cut Devonian metavolcanic schist and phyllite. Samples contain up to 55 percent lead and 6 ounces of silver per ton (Berg and Cobb, 1967).
  • Age = The veins are Devonian or younger.
