Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Host is alluvial gravels of Tertiary(?) age. Gravels overlie Mesozoic volcanic and sedimentary rocks. Fine gold occurs in most glacial "&" glaciofluvial deposits in the vicinity, but not in mineable quantities (Cobb, 1973). Lode gold deposits not found in the immediate area.
