| Relative position | Minton Creek drains north into McCoy Creek, approximately 11 miles north of the town of Richardson, Alaska, on the Richardson Highway. The creek is approximately 5 miles long and has several small tributaries. There are references to prospecting along Minton Creek, but it is unclear where. The approximate midpoint of the creek is in NW1/4SW1/4 section 13, T. 6 S., R. 7 E., of the Fairbanks Meridian. The Trans-Alaska Pipeline and an unimproved road provide access to the Minton Creek drainage. Cobb and Eberlein (1980) summarized relevant references under the name 'Minton Creek'. |
