  • Geologic Description = Stream gravels about 4-feet thick in the flood plain of Solomon River were dredged between 1929 and 1932; the paystreak was up to 700-800 feet wide (Smith, 1933). Bedrock in the area is part of a lower Paleozoic metasedimentary assemblage (Till and others, 1986).
  • Age = Quaternary.
