| Deposit | CRYSTAL VEIN IS 1-10 FT. WIDE, AVERAGE WIDTH 4 FT., FILLS LOW-ANGLE FAULT ZONE THAT CUTS AMPHIBOLITE. QUARTZ IN VEIN IS DISCONTINUOUS AND FORMS LARGE LENSOID MASSES UP TO A FEW HUNDRED FT. LONG. VEIN INCLUDES ABUNDANT ALTERED AND UNALTERED WALLROCK FRAGMENTS, AND MANY QUARTZ, AND CALCITE-LINED VUGS. PYRITE CUBES COMMON IN BOTH QUARTZ AND FRAGMENTS, WITH SMALL CRYSTALS OF GOLD ON PYRITE FACES. CHALCOPYRITE LOCALLY PRESENT. PYRITE ALSO PRESENT IN MASSES UP TO 6 IN. THICK AND 10 FT. LONG. ALTERED AMPHIBOLITE EXTENDS A FEW IN. TO FEW FT. FROM VEIN. |
