Deposit MINERALIZED ZONES 1-50 FT. WIDE ALONG, CREST AND FLANKS OF LARGE NW-STRIKING, GENTLY SE PLUNGING, ISOCLINAL, ANTICLINAL FOLD IN INTERLAYERED BIOTITE-QUARTZ-PLAGIOCLASE AND HORNBLENDE-PLAGIOCLASE GNEISS. POTENTIAL ORE BODIES ON MINOR FOLDS ON LARGER FOLD LIMBS, PARALLET TO AXIS OF LARGE ANTICLINE. DISSEMINATED AND LOCALLY MASSIVE PYRRHOTITE AND PYRITE BODIES CONTAINING CHALCOPYRITE AND SPHALERITE WITH SMALL AMOUNTS OF BORNITE, CHALCOCITE, MALACHITE, AZURITE, AND GALENA ARE PARALLEL TO FOLIATION OF GNEISS, STRIKING N 25 DEGREES-50 DEGREES W. QUARTZ IS THE DOMINANT GANGUE MINERAL, AND FORMS VEINS AND LENSES. MASSIVE SULFIDE BODIES ARE UP TO 50 FT. LONG AND 15 FT. THICK. IF MINERALIZATION BETWEEN AREA 3 NORTH OF SUMDUM GLACIER AND AREAS 4 AND 5 SOUTH OF THE GLACIER IS CONTINUOUS, THE DEPOSIT WOULD HAVE A STRIKE LENGTH OF 10,000 FT., WITH 1,000 FT. OF DOWN-DIP MINERALIZATION EXPOSED. SOME ORE ZONES FOLLOW BRECCIATED FAULT ZONES.
Deposit DRILL DATA INDICATES THAT MINERALIZATION IS PROBABLY CONTINOUS UNDER SUMDUM GLACIER BETWEEN NORTHERN DEPOSIT (SD-13) AND SOUTHERN DEPOSIT (SD-14). ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
