Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This occurrence consists of a 12-inch thick quartz vein which strikes N. 70 E. and dips southeast. It cuts Cretaceous sandstone and shale and fills one of a series of rectangular joints. Minor amounts of arsenopyrite were observed. Acidic dikes occur in the vicinity.
  • Age = Cretaceous or younger
