Relative position The Nugget Creek mine is located in sec. 31, T. 2 N., R. 2 E., Fairbanks Meridian. The area that has been placered is in the headwater section of Nugget Creek, a tributary of Smallwood Creek. The mine as marked on the Fairbanks D-1 topographic map and identified by Chapman and Foster (1969) is approximately 2.5 miles southwest of Gilmore Dome. The mine is locality 57 of Cobb (1972 [MF 410]).
