SOME GRANITIC AND QUARTZ-FLUORITE VEINS IN ACTINOLITE SCHIST, QUARTZITE SCHIST, AND GRAPHITIC SCHIST ARE KNOWN. ; MAJOR.UNITS: BEDROCK, AT LEAST IN PART, IS DEEPLY WEATHERED GREENSTONE; BEDROCK BROWN-STAINED IN PLACES AND CUT BY VEIN QUARTZ. ; REG.COM: GOLD IN BEAR GULCH DERIVED FROM THE SE; PAY STREAK ENRICHED AT MOUTHS OF TRIBUTARY GULCHES. PROBABLE LODE SOURCE ON RIDGE OR SLOPE TO EAST WHERE COVER IS THICK.

ALLUVIUM 20-30 FT. DEEP; GRAVEL 6-8 FT. THICK; PAY STREAK 75-100 FT. WIDE. PAY STREAK CLOSELY FOLLOWS COURSE OF PRESENT STREAM. CASSITERITE NOT ABUNDANT. VERY LITTLE OR NO GRAVEL ON UPPER (TRUE) BENCH; ALLUVIUM 25 FT. THICK.
