  • Production Notes = Production total is estimated to be 50 ounces prior to 1981 (Schmidt and Allegro, 1988).

  • Workings / Exploration = Bedrock at the Homestake Creek mine site is Paleozoic schist. Prior to 1981, one man placer mined coarse gold for 12 summers about 1/2 mile above the mouth of the creek. There was renewed activity in 1983 (Schmidt and Allegro, 1988).
