Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = Phosphatic mudstone in dark-colored, dominantly calcareous rocks of the Carboniferous Lisburne Group, probably from a stratigraphic level correlative with the black chert and shale member of the Alapah Limestone. Nearby dolostone talus derived from Mt. Bupto has purple and green fluorite and coarsely crystalline calcite fracture coatings.
  • Age = Carboniferous
