  • Geologic Description = Beds or lenses of massive barite, the largest being about 20 ft (6.1 m) thick and at least 100 ft (30.4 m) long (Barker and Clautice, 1978, p. 20, no. 33; Barker, 1981, p. 22, no. 29), interbedded with interlayered chert, shale and Mesozoic? mafic rocks in the Christian River sequence of Brosge and Reiser (1969).
