  • THE ANOMALOUS RADIOACTIVITY IS ALMOST COMPLETELY CONFINED TO ZONES OF FRACTURING AND SHEARING. VALUES VARY FROM 200 TO 100 CPS AGAINST BACKROUND OF 100 TO 150 CPS. VALUES UP TO 2500 CPS HAVE BEEN RECORDED IN PATCHES, THIS IS PARTLY DUE TO THE MAN EFFECT.

Deposit THE MOST INTENSE RADIOACTIVITY IS RELATED TO MANGANESE STAINING AND FRACTURE FILLS AND TO KAOLINIZED SHEAR ZONES. RADON LEVELS IN SOILS WEST OF THE ANOMALY MEASURED UP TO 4.5 TIMES THE BACKROUND.
