Comments on the geologic information

  • THE ANDESITE IS CUT BY A LARGE RHYOLITE DIKE STRIKING N 45 W AND DIPPING VERTICALLY AND IS ADJACENT TO A RHYOLITE DOME. IN ADDITION TO A PERVASIVE SILICIFICATION OF AND ADJACENT TO THE RHYOLITE DIKE, THE ANDESITE IS ALTERED TO CLAYS AND IRON OXIDES UP TO 200 M FROM THE DIKE. THE ANDESITE AND RHYOLITE DIKE ARE CUT BY THE STOCKWORK OF VEINS, RESULTING IN MUCH BRECCIATION AND RESILICIFICATION.
