General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN THE ESPINOSA VOLCANICS WHERE THE FORMATION HAS BEEN INTRUDED BY A NEARLY VERTICAL LIMBURGITE DIKE ALONG A NORTH-TRENDING FAULT. THE ORE IS FOUND IN A COMPLEX NETWORK OF THIN SULFIDE-MINERAL VEINS IN THE MAFIC DIKE AND AN IMPREGNATION OF FINE-GRAINED SULFIDE MINERALS IN THE BRECCIATED FOOTWALL OF THE DIKE, WHERE IT IS ALTERED TO CLAY. LUSTIG DESCRIBED 23 MINERALS FROM THE DEPOSIT (CHENOWETH, 1979).
