General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit REF. 1 STATES THAT THE ORE BODIES ARE SO SMALL THAT THEY CAN BE WORKED PROFITABLY ONLY IN TIMES OF EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH PRICES FOR TUNGSTEN. THE DISTRICT COULD PROBABLY PROVIDE A FEW THOUSAND TONS OF GOOD ORE FROM SEVERAL VERY SMALL-SCALE OPERATIONS. THE FEW HUNDRED TONS MINED IN 1942-43 AND SHIPPED TO METALS RESERVE CO. DID NOT YIELD SUFFICIENT PROFIT TO ENCOURAGE ADDITIONAL EXPLOITATION EVEN UNDER FAVORABLE MARKETING CONDITIONS.
