Deposit GOLD IS GEN. NUGGET GOLD. THE GULCH IS QUITE NARROW AND ALONG STRETCHES THE GRAVEL IS ABOUT 30 FT DEEP. TWO PAY STREAKS, A LOWER GULCH CHANNEL AND A HIGHER BAR CHANNEL.
Deposit 1927 A.J. WOOD AND FRED MEADE WERE MINING AN OPEN CUT 2.5 MI ABOVE THE MOUTH. THEY FOUND A NUGGET WEIGHING 57 OZ. LARGEST NUGGET FOUND AND IT WAS WORTH $1700. IT WAS 870 FINE. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
