Comments on the location information

  • MRDS location-problem algorithm found original lat/long 48-50N 117-30W disagreed with political location of Stevens county. Google Earth plots it just inside Stevens county. However, this very general location is very far from the the PLSS coordinates which agree very closely with potential duplicate records 10103869 Lucille Mine, 10302109 Lucille Mine (rep 1994). Both are within 4 seconds of the mindat.org loc 48-57-01N 117-33-11W. The geonames location is also close at 48 57 02N 117 33 14W the geonames location was used.
