| Deposit | TWO NEARLY PARALLEL VERTICAL FAULTS TREND NE IN GNEISS AND SCHIST OF THE BURROW MOUNTAINS COMPLEX. THE WESTERN FAULT IS TRACEABLE FOR ABOUT 1200 FT. FLUORSPAR OCCURS SPARINGLY IN SMALL VEINLETS THROUGHOUT MOST OF ITS LENGTH, BUT MINABLE LENGTHS ARE NOT EXPOSED. THE OTHER FAULT, ABOUT 100 FT EAST, CONTAINS DISCONTINUOUS BANDS OF GREEN TO WHITE FLUORSPAR RANGING FROM 4 IN TO 4 FT ACROSS, SOMETIMES STRONGLY REPLACING FAULT BRECCIA. LOCALLY THE FAULT CONTAINS 4 TO 16 IN WIDE VEINS OF COARSELY CRYSTALLINE FLUORITE EXPOSED INTERMITTANTLY FOR ABOUT 300 FT. THE SHAFT, NEAR THE SOUTH END OF THE EASTERN FAULT, EXPOSES A 16 IN BAND OF YELLOW TO GREEN REPLACEMENT FLUORITE CONTAINING MINOR MANGANESE OXIDES. |
