Deposit FLUORSPAR OCCURS IN TWO VEINS, AS FRACTURE FILLING AND CRUSTIFORM MASSES ON GRANITE FRAGMENTS IN A FAULT BRECCIA ZONE. MINERALIZATION IS UP TO 10 FT THICK, CROPS OUT ALONG STRIKE FOR ABOUT 600 FT, AND IS EXPOSED IN WORKINGS TO A DEPTH OF 105 FT. MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS COARSELY CRYSTALLINE, GREEN AND PURPLE FLUORITE THAT SHOWS OCTOHEDRON AND DODECAHEDRON FACES, AND AS CRUSHED SUGAR SPAR MIXED WITH CLAYEY MATERIAL AND MN-OXIDES OR FINELY CRYSTALLINE, BRECCIA CEMENTING FLUORITE. HARD VASPEROID SILICA DILUTES THE ORE. THE N47W VEIN RANGES IN WIDTH FROM 3 TO 4 FT AND IS TRACEABLE FOR 600 FT. THE N40W VEIN HAS ITS FOOTWALL IN GRANITE AND HANGING WALL IN SOFT GAUGE THAT TENDS TO CAVE.
