  • OLDER WORKINGS ON THE RED CLOUD AND DEADWOOD CLAIMS WERE REPORTED TO BE CAVED IN 1959 BUT THE MAIN SHAFT WAS MORE THAN 300 FT. DEEP WITH AT LEAST 1500 FT. OF DRIFTS IN 1930. WORKINGS ON THE CONQUEROR NO. 9 CLAIM WERE REPORTED IN 1959 TO CONSIST OF A 110 FT. INCLINED SHAFT AND ADIT PARTIALLY DESTROYED BY LATER OPEN-PIT MINING.
