Deposit MUCH OF INTERIOR OF SINBAD VALLEY CONSISTS OF DEFORMED PENNSYLVANIAN EVAPORITES, SOME IN FAULT CONTACT WITH TRIASSIC AND PERMIAN RED BEDS. ALONG SOUTH AND SW SIDE OF GRABEN, TRIASSIC RED BEDS COMPLEXLY FAULTED WITH JURASSIC SANDSTONES AND SHALES. DISSEMINATED CU SULFIDES OCCUR IN WINGATE SANDSTONE AND KAYENTA FM (JURASSIC) SANDSTONE ALONG FAULTS. ORE CONSISTS OF CHALCOCITE, MALACHITE, AND AZURITE IMPREGNATING SANDSTONE IN LAYERS AND SMALL IRREGULAR BODIES. AT MAIN ADITS CU OCCURS AT INTERSECTIONS OF FAULTS WITH PARADOX MEMBER LIMESTONE, ALSO ALONG FRACTURES AND JOINTS.
