| Deposit | BASED ON THIS UNVERIFIED LOCATION, DEPOSIT LIES IN FISH CANYON TUFF JUST BEYOND NW RIM OF LOST LAKE BURIED CALDERA. NATURE OF MN OCCURRENCE IS UNCERTAIN BUT COULD BE SIMILAR TO OTHERS IN VOLCANIC TERRAINS OF SOUTHERN RUNNISON COUNTY AND NORTHERN HINSDALE COUNTY. THERE, HARD, COMPACT, FINELY GRANULAR, HIGHLY SILICEOUS PSILOMELANE OCCURS AS BOTRYOIDAL MASSES IN POCKETS AND FREQUENTLY IN NETWORK OF SMALL VEINS UP TO FOUR INCHES WIDE, AND IN BRECCIA. |
