Deposit THE MAIN ORE SHOOT EXPOSED UNDERGROUND, EXPOSED FOR A LENGTH OF 55 FEET, IS A LENS OF VUGGY WHITE QUARTZ CONTAINING THICK STREAKS AND DISEMINATIONS OF GALENA AND SPHALERITE. SOME OF THE SPHALERITE IS OLIVE GREEN. THE ORE LIES ON THE FOOTWALL OF A TABULAR BRECCIA ZONE COMPOSED OF ANGULAR UNROTATED FRAGMENTS OF WALL ROCK 1-6 INCHES ACROSS. LITTLE HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION IS APPARENT. WULFENITE IS ABUNDANT AS SMALL SQA RE TABULAR YELLOWISH-GRAY CRYSTALS FORMING A COATING ON THE PRIMARY ORE IN CRACKS AND VUGS. A SECOND ORE STREAK, 8 INCHES WIDE COMPOSED OF QUARTZ AND GALENA, LIES A FEW FEET WITHIN THE HANGING WALL OF THE MAIN SHOOT. ON THE SURFACE THE VEIN IS INTERMITTENLY TRACEABLE FOR 1300 FEET.
