Deposit DEPOSIT LIES TOWARD NORTH SIDE OF SAN JUAN-UNCOMPAHGRE CALDERA IN INFILL SEQUENCE CONSISTING OF BURNS MEMBER QUARTZ LATITE, PORPHYRITIC ANDESITE, AND HENSON MEMBER SANDSTONE. ON NW SIDE OF EUREKA GRABEN, LILLY VEIN (AS MAPPED BY BURBANK AND LUEDKE, 1969) TRENDS GENERALLY N 23 TO 30 E, 45 NW. BEDS TREND N 68 E, 18 NW. FISSURES ALONG LINE OF ORE BODY WERE RATHER TIGHT WHERE THEY PASSED INTO OVERLYING AND UNDERLYING MORE MASSIVE VOLCANIC ROCKS. HIGHER GRADE ORE FORMED IRREGULAR OR FLAT SHOOTS IN INTERBEDDED TUFFS AND FLOWS OF HENSON MBR INTERPRETED TO BE REPLACEMENT DEPOSIT. ORE LAYERS OFTEN SEPARATED AND INTERSECTED BY VARIABLY TRENDING CHLORITIC FISSURES. ORE CHARACTERIZED BY HIGH AG AND CU, WITH CU CONSISTENTLY EXCEEDING VALUES OF PB OR ZN.
